Medical treatment alone is not adequate. Prevention techniques should also be used to prevent further damage. Activity with the affected hand should be minimized or completely stopped for some time, so that the muscles and tendons start healing. Some of techniques used for treatment of repetitive strain injury Heat or cold packs; Medications to relieve pain and discomfort.: natural anti-inflammatory products like arnica; painkillers such as paracetamol ; and anti-inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen to reduce swelling; Elastic wrist support bandages prescribed by a medical professional Acupuncture and firm wrist splints help relieve the pain. Physiotherapy, osteopathy , the Alexander technique, Stretches, Yoga Soft Tissue Therapy ,Massage treatment by a trained therapist help relieve pain. Surgery.-  is not always 
      effective and should be used only as the last resort. Some of the 
      non-surgical  methods like massages have  healed every severe repetitive strain injury. |
