Since most cases of stomach pain are non-serious, they can be treated at home. The patient should drink plenty of water and avoid solid food for a few hours. Greasy or high fat food and acidic food like citrus juices, carbonated drinks should be avoided. 1. A tablespoon of Coriander seeds is a natural home remedy for stomach aches, to be eaten after meals. 2. Take a heating pad or any other warm object and keep it against the aching part of the stomach. This will relax the muscles and relieve the pain. If a heating pad is not available, a warm compress made by soaking cloth in warm water can be used. Drinking very hot water may also kill the virus causing the infection. 3. By drinking fresh ginger juice made from grating ginger, you may get some relief. Alternately, you rub the juice on the area of the stomach which is paining. 4. Boil some mint in water for 10 minutes and add to tea. Drink the tea, for pain relief. Adding lemon juice and honey to tea will also help. 5. For some people drinking carbonated drinks like Coca Cola , reduced stomach pain. 6.Medicinal charcoal can also be used, for absorbing the toxin. If you feel nauseated, you should vomit, to expel the poisonous substances which are probably causing the belly ache. Anti-inflammatory medicines like aspirin, ibuprofen and naproxen used for pain relief aggravate the condition and should not be taken . Antacids can provide temporary relief .
